OUR FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM IS FOR BOYS&GIRLS AGES 5 THRU 8 AS OF JULY 1ST 2010.
OUR SIGNUPS WILL BE HELD JUNE 17TH,18TH AND 19TH. 6:00 TO 8:00 PM. THE FIRST 2 DAYS AND 10:00 TO NOON THE THIRD DAY.

THE BASICS
 
- A coin toss will determine first possesion.
- The offensive team will take possesion at its own 5 yardline. They have 4 downs to gain a firstdown or a touchdown.
- If the offense fails to score or convert, the other team takes over on their own 5 yardline.
- All possesion changes, except interceptions,start on the offense`s 5 yardline.
- Interceptions may be returned.
- Teams switch endzones at the end of thefirst 20 minute half.
- possesion changes to loser of the coin toss unless defered.
- The timeclock does not stop.
 
TEAM ROSTER
 
-Teams must field a 7 man team with a minimum of 6 on the field at all times.
 
OFFENSE
- The Offense will consist of 7 players.  Three O-linemen, one Q.B.and three backs or recievers.
 
DEFENSE
- The Defense will also consist of 7 players. Two D-Tackles (one yard off the line of scrimmage), No one permitted over the center. Two inside linebackers (must be inside the tackles), two outside linbackers and one safety.
 

SPORTSMANSHIP/ ROUGHING
 
- If the referee witnesses any acts of tackling, elbowing, cheapshots, or any unsportsmanlike act. the game will be stopped and the player will be ejected from the game at the referees discretion.
FOUL PLAY WILL NOT BE TOLORATED.
- Trash talking is prohibeted Referees have the right to determine offensive language. Players, Coaches and Spectators may be ejected or removed from the game or venue.
 
PENALTIES on Defense
 
- All penalties will be called by the referee.
 
- Offsides- five yards and automatic first down.
- Interference- Ten yards and automatic first down.
- Illegal contact- Ten yards and automatic first down
- Illegal Rushing- Ten yards and automatic first down.
 
PENALTIES on Offense
 
- Illegal Motion-  Five yards.
- Illegal forward pass- Five yards.
- Offensive pass interference- Ten Yards
- Flag Gaurding- Five yards from the spot of the foul.
- Delay of game- Clock stops, Five yards.
 
 
- Incidental contact will be at the discretion of the referee
- Only team coach can ask the referee for clarification of a call.
- Games cannot end on a defensive penalty.
 
Player Attire
 
Cleats are permitted, No metal spikes!
All Players must wear a protective mouthpiece. No exceptions.
All players must have their shirts tucked in at all times...
 
*NOTE
There are no kick-offs or punts.
 
GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON A 50 YARD FIELD WITH A 10 YARD ENDZONE

TIMING/OVERTIME
 
-Games consist of two 20 minute halfs.
-In the event of a tie at the end of regulation, Overtime will be played.(PIAA rules will be used.)
-Each time the ball is spotted, the offense has 30 seconds to snap the ball. Teams will recieve a warning before a delay of game penalty is enforced.(this rule is at the referees discretion).
-Clock will stop for touchdowns.
 
SCORING
 
-Touchdown = 6 points
-Extra point = 1 point
 
Running
 
- The Q.B. can only run outside of the tackles.
- The player who takes the hand-off can through the ball from behind the line of scrimmage.
- Once the ball is handed off, all defensive players are allowed to rush.
- Spinning is allowed but, runners cannot jump, dive, or use their hands to prevent the defenders from pulling their flag.
- The ball is spotted where the ball carriers feet were at the time the flag was pulled.
- The ball must be handed of to be able to be ran up the middle, or between tackles.
 
RECIEVING/PASSING
 
- Only running backs and recievers are eligble to recieve a pass.
- Interceptions may be returned.
